Your Mind is Like a Multiview TV Screen

Of Course, You Can Always Change The Channel. (Click!)

📺 The Remote Control of Your Mind is in Your Hands

Your thoughts may pop in uninvited, but you don’t have to keep watching the channel they’re on.

Imagine your mind as a smart TV with multiple screens playing at once. One screen is a horror story—fear, panic, dread. Another shows a relationship comedy—connection, laughter, hope. Another plays the news—worry, urgency, overthinking. And maybe one is simply a peaceful nature scene.

You hold the remote.

You didn’t choose the program that started playing, but you can choose which one to give your full attention to.

You can mute the noise, lower the volume, or switch to a different channel entirely.

You don’t have to stay locked into the most distressing screen.

You can focus on calm. You can tune into what brings clarity, strength, or even a smile.

Awareness is the remote. Attention is the power. You decide what plays next.

For skills you can use today, see Individual Therapy and how we’ll work together in How We Work. If the “channel” metaphor resonates, also take a look at Your Mind Is Like a Multiplex Theater.
